MeWa | seating system
MeWa – Modular Meeting Waiting System creates a unique space and therefore atmosphere in a public space. It has a generous seat with active ergonomics, encouraging the ‘social cohesion’. Included in the ADI DESIGN INDEX and nominated for the Compaso d'oro design award.
MeWa is a comprehensive system with a singular twin-seat, backrest and three tables enabling five distinct units, which can be combined into several configurations, providing freedom to create various settings in public spaces with just one single module.
I was part of the design team of Satyendra Pakhale, that designed the chair for the company Vaghi. I was assigned with incorporating the aesthetic and ergonomic philosophy of the design concept with the manufacturing requirements of the Vaghi engineering team.
