Trivet

Design of the Trivet and Egg holders was a test project to apply the values and style of the company Extravega to small, household items.

Extravega is specialized in the engineering, manufacture and installation of exclusive custom made architectural projects with an emphasis on metal fabrication. This project was an experiment in creating the same high-end feel for kitchen utilities using die cut and bent sheet metal.

The two main functional requirements were reduction of scrap materials and safety of use. This required testing of various edge radii to ensure the crisp look while not imposing a safety hazard.
