Mandarin

Mandarin is an electric juicer whose look is inspired by the fascinating and beautiful mandarin duck. The little creatures' head and crest helped develop the ergonomics of the plunger handle, as well as the aesthetics of the main body. The shape was achieved through developing stylizations of the animal, first through sketches and then through foam, clay and plaster.

The name “Mandarin” was chosen not only because of the inspiring mandarin duck but also as a reference to the product's purpose: to create juice from delicious, fresh fruit.

The polycarbonate juicer combines white and yellow, both in a high shine. The white makes the unusual shape of the handle and body more approachable, while the yellow (with a hint of orange) references the freshness and colorfulness of the fruit used. The dimensions of the juicer are on the smaller size for this type of product but it can be used with a glass that is up to 215mm tall. ⠀
