Ghibli | industrial vacuum
Ghibli & Wirbel is a company specializing in industrial vacuum cleaners used by professional to clean a large variety of wet and dry dirt. The project brief here was to improve the user experience of the personnel and streamline the entire cleaning process.
During the design process, a large part of the attention was focused on developing a pedal activated mechanism that allows the 7kg head to be lifted with ease. A scissors mechanism was used as it maintained an even amount of force throughout the process of lifting the load.
The project was a very detailed implementation of DFM and ergonomics standards, with a lot of research and testing being focused on user flow, habits and needs during the professional cleaning process.
